How Can I Tell If My New Louis Vuitton Tivoli Pm Handbag Is Authentic?

I just purchased a new Louis Vuitton Tivoli PM handbag on ebay and it smells a lot like cheap leather. The handles seem to be made out of Leather and it does look authentic but the base of the bag seems to be made out of some kind of plastic, I don’t know what kind of material it is but it’s not leatherr. Does anyone know what kind of materials are used to make the Tivoli PM?
