Do All Chanel Bags Have Serial Numbers?

I have a OLDDDD chanel bag (my 66 year old aunt bought it in the peak of her career, 40 years ago) That was passed on to me by my mother. I do not carry purses much, and I have heard that my bag is real and can be sold for a decent amount because of the rarity.
I cannot find ANY pictures of the bag nowhere, and It does not have any serial numbers inside, do the older bags have numbers inside the bags as well?
